Vincent Price

  1. The topic has switched from (Liverpoolian) beauty to the beast, right Shell? Imagine how much fun it was for me to go to a theater at age 3 and watch House of Wax in 3-D, a revolutionary cinematic development at the time. Imagine me seeing in their first run in theaters The Mad Magician at age 4, The Fly at age 8, House on Haunted Hill, The Tingler and The Bat at age 9, House of Usher at age 10, Pit and the Pendulum at age 11, Tales of Terror and Tower of London at age 12, The Raven, Diary of a Madman and Haunted Palace at age 13, and The Masque of the Red Death at age 14. Those were Vincent Price's earliest and best horror pictures. Of course he made many movies after that and few people seem to remember that he was also a distinguished movie actor in the 10 years before I was born.
